Sahar is an International Dance Performer specialised in Egyptian Dances (Raks Sharki and Folklore) a.k.a. Egyptian Bellydance.
She is also a Teacher and Choreographer. A Researcher and Amateur Writer.
With her unique and contagious style, Sahar touches the audience's heart and brings into scene her Spectacular, Joyful and Dramatic Presentations which no one can stay indifferent to.
With a background as a dancer, actress and a singer, Sahar's charismatic and expressive presence on stage is an Elegant, Classy and Modern trademark of her soulful work and artistry.

SAHAR'S DANCE JOURNEY
Sahar was born in Portugal and was raised in Sintra, a Portuguese village well known by its Moorish presence and cultural influence. As so, she grew up in continuous contact with the Middle Eastern and Andalucian Aesthetics which, since childhood, always fascinated her with its beauty.
Sahar started her artistic training at the age of 3 with Classical Ballet and later completed her studies as an Actress, having as well a brief education as a Jazz Singer.
While studying for her degree, she had the opportunity to engage with several dance styles, such as Flamenco, Tango, Can-Can, Burlesque etc., as so developing and expanding her dancing skills.
With 13 years old, Sahar started to work as an Actress and was also introduced to Raks Sharki (Oriental Dance). Sahar's mother offered her a tape with Traditional Egyptian Music and it was love at first "hearing". From there onwards, she started to study and dance by herself hence back then there was not much teaching offer on the market.
Right after finishing her acting degree, in 2009, Sahar was invited to work as a Director's Assistant at one of the main Portuguese Theatre Venues whilelist acting for Tv Commercials.
It was during this period, that she has decided to mainly focus her artistic work in pursuing a career as an Oriental Dancer and Teacher.
INTERNATIONAL CAREER
Sahar's Oriental Dance training has been largely self-taught, but she has also learnt from great teachers such as Amir Thaleb, Asmahan, Gamal Seif, Jillina from Bellydance Superstars and Bellydance Evolution, Joana Saahira, Khaled Mahmoud, Munique Neith, Nour, Randa Kamel, Ozgen Ozgec, Charlotte Desorgher, and many others...
In 2014, she moved to London, in order to study and work as an Oriental Dancer.
Since then, Sahar has been participating in several Stage Shows, Showcases, Cabaret Nights and Oriental Dance Haflas (Silk Route, Arabesque Nights, Arabic Night, Rouh Arabi, Ozgen's London Haflas, to mention a few) as well as performing at Hotels, Thematic Fairs, International Festivals, Charity Events, Weddings, Tea Lounges and Restaurants.
Sahar was also invited by Charlotte Desorgher to enrol in her 2019 Elite Bellydance project, a mentoring program designed for a small group of dancers, directed by Charlotte and Aziza of Canada. Unfourtunetly, due to health reasons, Sahar had to leave the program.
Aside from her performing skills, Sahar is an enthusiastic and creative developer who has been producing several dance projects related do Egyptian Dance and Performing Arts such as Raks.Pt (the first Portuguese Oriental Dance magazine), Habiba (her most recent magazine exclusively dedicated to Egyptian Dance), Sahar Tv (Sahar's youtube channel to everything Egyptian Dance), Radio Sahar (her virtual space dedicated to Egyptian Music), Words of a Nile Dancer (Sahar's personal Blog).
